COMPETENT BODIES REACTED AFTER THE PROTESTS

 With the help of the initiative of President of Palilula Boban Džunić, mayor of Nis, Prof. Dr. Zoran Perisic and parents protesters, who organized protests by the Council of parents of primary school "Branko Miljkovic" in Nis, the impasse over the beginning of the reconstruction of nine classroom in this educational institution will be solved soon. COOPERATION OF MUNICIPALITY OF PALILULA NIS AND
THE GIRONDE REGION OF FRANCE

 President of Municipality of Palilula Niš Boban Džunić received the Honorary Consul of France in Nis, Sasa Miljkovic, director of the French Institute in Nis Orelie Michelle, and Aleksandra Arsic, professor of French at primary school "Kralj Petar I", in order to present the forthcoming cooperation activities - visiting groups of students from Nis elementary school to College Marcellin Berthelot Begley, Gironde district, where their performance will present the City of Nis, Serbia. Going to France is planned for October 14th, but by then there is the need to provide additional funds for this visit, and this was stated at this meeting.

CUP OF KING PETAR AND CLEAN WORLD CAMPAIGN IS CLOSED

 Seventeen competitive teams from five towns in Serbia, successfully mastered the tasks of orientation in unfamiliar territory during the last weekend. Municipality of Palilula supported the activities of young people in scouting organization.
The Cup of "KING PETAR I", with approximate 29 teams of Scouts, was held on the grounds of Belotinci near Nis from 20th of September until 22nd of September. This traditional activity of Scouts was successfully organized by the detachment "King Petar", under the auspices of Municipality of Palilula in Nis.

WITH WINE AND GRILL

 The Seventh Wine Festival, which is sponsored by Municipality of Palilula, was held in Nis from 21st of September untill 23rd of September, and it was opened in the Army House of Serbia on behalf of the Mayor Boban Džunić by Ivica Stojanovic, member of the municipality council. He welcomed the participants of this year's festival, especially visitors from Italy, and said that wine has a rich tradition in these parts, long before the birth of Constantine. In the Municipality of Palilula, after the liberation from the Turks, grape growing has become a leading economic activity. "For the first seven years of existence, the festival, according to organizers, managed to improve and develop culture of drinking wine, and its production.

THE GREAT PILGRIMAGE IN NIS ON 20th AND 21st OF SEPTEMBER

DINING AND "INFORMATION ROOM" IN SAFE HOUSE

Mayor of Nis, prof. Zoran Perisic, president of municipality of Palilula Boban Džunić and assembly deputy Milan Lapčević, visited the safe house in Nis. This facility, which is located in Palilula, recently received a grant from Telecom, which consists of five computers, a printer and scanner, as well as furniture for the so-called. "Computer room", in which residents of the safe house will acquire knowledge of computer skills and look for a job online. As stated by the director of the institution Sonja Šćekić, management of the safe house is working on several other projects in order to make staying in the safe house more comfortable for users.

VINEYARD OF NIS AGAIN ON THE SERBIAN WINE MAP

 The Seventh Wine Festival will be held in Nis, from 21st of September untill 23rd of September, 2013th at several locations in the city. The festival will be open on Saturday 21st of September in the Army Chamber at 14:00. It is expected that the participants of this event will be representatives from 20 wineries from all over Serbia, and also from Italy and Croatia, regarded Boban Džunić, president of Municipality of Palilula. On the first day of the festival, after the opening in the Army Chamber, those interested will be able to attend the presentation of the book "Tears of St. Nicholas" by Branislav Jankovic, and spend time with the author.

"GATHERING OF SERBIAN SAINTS"

 Palilula Municipality celebrates its patron saints day of "GATHERING OF SERBIAN SAINTS." The guests were hosted in the hall of the cultural center by Boban Džunić, president of Municipality, and his associates, the Assembly president Milos Stojkovic, head of Municipal administration Marija Brajdić, and members of the Municipal Council. In the presence of the clergy of the Niš Eparchy, there was a traditional cake cutting ceremony. The host of the celebration, Boban Dzunic, presented the traditional cake to Milos Stojkovic, president of the Assembly of the City Municipality of Palilula. The ceremony was magnified with the vocal performance of singing group "Constantine”.

VICE PRESIDENT RESOLVED OF DUTY

 Vice President of Municipality of Palilula, Bratislav Vuckovic, an URS party candidate, was relieved of this duty with the majority of councilor votes of the Palilula Assembly. According to the President of the Municipal Assembly Milos Stojkovic, initiative to resolve Vuckovic was submitted by SNS party. A conflict of interest in his work was given as a reason for resolvment. At the eighth ordinary session of the Assembly of Palilula, which was held in the hall of the cultural center, following the adoption of the record of the seventh session, they also discussed the issue of councilors and initiatives. Palilula Assembly consists of 25 members, seven of the SNS, five from URS, five of the SPS, four from the Democratic Party, two from the DSS, and one each from the LDP and DVERI.

CLOSER TO AGRICULTURAL PLOTS

 From 26.05 km of country road routes, which will be decorated and revitalized by the end of this year in the City of Nis, thanks to the support of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management for Agriculture and Rural Development of the City of Nis, 6.34 km of country roads will be done in the populated area of the City Municipality of Palilula. The investment amounts to the sum of 4.580 million.  Leadership of the Society for Freshwater Fisheries "Juzna Morava Dva" were received by president of Municipality of Palilula Boban Dzunic. President Dzunic met with Nikola Kumanović, director of fishing area and Ninoslav Milenkovic, coordinator of the fish warden service, and on this occasion they discussed the activities of the association, the area where the fishing waters are directly managed, preserved and stocked. They also discussed the joint activities aimed at environmental protection and cooperation on projects.

PARENTS OF STUDENTS AND MUNICIPALITY OF PALILULA ARE PLEDGING FOR START OF WORK ON CLASSROOM RECONSTRUCTION

 To mark the start of the new school year, the president of Palilula Boban Džunić and his associates met with parents and members of the Council of the primary school "Branko Miljkovic" in Nis on resolving the current problem of the reconstruction of school buildings, classrooms and organizing classes in this educational institution.
The problem surfaced a year ago, after the school year 2012/2013, when the building inspectors ordered the primary school "Branko Miljkovic" to shut down and put out of use nine classrooms that are prone to falling, because staying in them is a potential danger to students.

 Municipality of Palilula supports youth sporting activities and encourages their interests, said Boban Džunić, president of Municipality, at the opening of this event, on the occasion of Youth Day, which was successfully organized in primary school "Branko Miljkovic”. Youth Office of Palilula, according to the coordinator Ivana Jovic, initiated intense connection of clubs and civil society organizations with the municipality. Chess Federation of District of Nis, under the auspices of Municipality of Palilula, in cooperation with the Office for Youth of Municipality of Palilula and Counsel for young people of the City of Nis, organized the marking of the Youth Day of Nis with chess tournament for primary and secondary schools, called "Day of Youth Nis 2013".
